Fall Retreat 2026
Northbay Adventure Camp
What an incredible weekend at NorthBay Adventure Camp! October 16–18, HRC Youth Group joined students for a Fall Retreat hosted by Community Christian Church (C3 Students). It was a weekend filled with fun, friendships, worship, and, most importantly, growing closer to Jesus Christ!
Our theme was NEW, based on Romans 12:2:
Romans 12:2 NIV
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. ”
Throughout the weekend, we focused on three powerful truths:
1. Let Scripture Transform You. Reading the Bible isn’t just about gaining knowledge. It’s about allowing God’s Word to change our hearts.
2. Come to Jesus as You Are. We don’t have to fix ourselves or become perfect before accepting Jesus. In fact, we can’t transform ourselves without Him! We come to Christ as we are, put our faith in Him, and allow Him to begin the work of transforming our lives.
3. We Are Broken, but There Is Good News! Every one of us is a sinner in need of God’s grace. None of us can earn our salvation. But the incredible news is that Jesus Christ died for our sins so that through repentance and faith in Him, we can receive forgiveness and new life!
Thank you to Community Christian Church, https://communitycc.net/, for hosting an amazing retreat and to all the leaders who helped make this weekend possible!
Our prayer is that what our students experienced at NorthBay doesn’t stay at NorthBay. May they continue opening their Bibles, growing in faith, and allowing God to transform their lives each day.
Special thanks to Sarah Prescott Phillips. She was my hero for the weekend, not just for helping me with this trip but making this trip extra special having someone responsible for planting the original seed of faith 26 years ago. Also another special thanks to Mariella Post. Who was such a great influence on the girls who attended. We will also miss AJ and Sophia so much and I am so grateful they got to come on this trip while they were visiting New York! And to all other students who attended. Addison, Emmie, Robert, Nate, Zac, Luke, Michael, Jake, Summer, Natalia, Gianna, Evie I am so proud of you! You tackled so many deep topics. I pray that you take what you learned this weekend and apply it to your every day life! Can’t wait for next year!
